Fully Refined Paraffin Wax

Fully Refined Paraffin Wax (FRP Wax) is a high-purity petroleum wax produced through advanced refining of slack wax, including deep solvent deoiling, hydrotreating, and finishing processes.

This intensive refining removes oil, sulfur, nitrogen compounds, aromatics, moisture, and color-forming impurities, resulting in a white, odorless, chemically inert wax with exceptional consistency, stability, and performance.

With ultra-low oil content (typically below 0.5%), Fully Refined Wax is safe, reliable, and suitable for food-contact, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and high-quality industrial applications.

Manufacturing & Refining Process

Slack Wax Generation: Produced during solvent deoiling of lubricating oil base stocks.
Deep Deoiling: Solvent extraction reduces oil content below 0.5%, improving hardness and thermal behavior.
Hydrotreating / Hydrogenation: Removes sulfur, nitrogen, and aromatic compounds while improving color and oxidation resistance.
Final Finishing & Filtration: Ensures uniform crystal structure, smooth texture, and water-white appearance.

Key Characteristics

High Purity & Ultra-Low Oil Content: Oil content typically 0.3% – 0.5%, resulting in clean burning, high hardness, and no oil bleeding.
Excellent Color & Odor Control: Snow-white appearance, odorless and tasteless — essential for food, pharma, and cosmetics.
Chemical & Thermal Stability: Saturated hydrocarbons resist oxidation, thermal degradation, and chemical reactions.
Smooth Texture & Surface Gloss: Uniform crystals provide high surface shine and smooth coatings.
